Opportunity

“Is a good chance for advancement and progress.”

The NCAA and the WBCA are willing to remove critical opportunities for female athletes to progress and advance in life. We believe that opportunity is not something that should be taken away, it is something that should be embraced by all those involved including players, parents, coaches, the WBCA and the NCAA.

Diversity

“Is the inclusion of people of different races.”

With the upcoming vote to remove days from the Women’s basketball calendar the NCAA and the WBCA are taking away opportunities from the most diverse female community of student athletes in youth sport. Women of color make up over 52% of the female athletes participating in youth basketball.

Culture

“July is the culture and rhythm of the female grassroots scene.”

July affords cultural opportunities that many young women would never experience thru travel, camaraderie, relationships, teamwork and goals preparing to play with and against the best from across the United States and the Globe. The NCAA and WBCA are missing how much this will affect the culture of youth basketball.
